Working in partnership with Pickled Egg Events, the founders of BoutiqueCamping.net Mark and Emma Sutton from Ezra Event Services solve a very bespoke request ...
"Taking your entire company to a music festival sounds like fun. Until you try and work out the logistics. Then it quickly becomes a frightening prospect. How on earth are you going to be able to sort out everyone camping together? Staying together? Finding each other? What happens if someone wonders off and ends up on their own for most of the weekend? It’s hardly the bonding experience you were after. More importantly how can you make people feel a bit special, like you have made a proper effort, not simply brought them a ticket and said ‘see you later’ at the gate? All these questions kept nagging at me when I decided that we would take our company ‘glue’, to Bestival on the Isle of Wight. Enter Pickled Egg, through a work colleague who had heard of them. A couple of phone calls later and it was all sorted. Pickled Egg would provide us with an exclusive camping area, a BBQ and private bar on arrival and survival packs for each and every person from glue. We were going on trust really. They sounded really friendly on the phone but then so does anyone wanting to sell you something. The question was, would they deliver? The answer, thankfully was an unequivocal YES. They were fantastic. Not only did we have the most VIP(est) of any camping area at the festival consisting of four double decker buses kitted out with double beds! But also a communual Morrocan-style tent, a great BBQ, funky bar and soundsystem all to ourselves on arrival. They even baked us a personalised cake! The Pickled Egg staff were without exception friendly and approachable, nothing was too much trouble. We had never met them before but it was like spending the weekend with friends we had known for ages. Couldn’t fault them. We’ll be back so don’t even think about booking those buses for next year...." (Glue London, about Bestival 2006)
